While i only ever remade my 'main' once and this was way back before i had any real accomplishments on him. however... I have remade two of my other characters, well remade one and plan on remaking another. I was in the same position, he even had FoW but i just wasn't playing him, now he's one of my fav characters and getting way more play time than before.
But, first, i'd give a different class a shot, a different playstyle is a nice change sometimes, e.g. if you're a caster mainly, make a war or something.
I haven't remade my main character and won't (I'm not even gonna re-dye her armor, since it's an "old school" mix that I can't duplicate). But I did have to remake my monk when A-Net did the face change thing for moving lips in cut-scenes. Even with a character I didn't play that often I found it kinda sad to remake her. (Her face got totally mangled when they updated it. )
I'd strongly advise anyone to not remake their main for any reason. But if it's a question of liking the name, one option is to give your main a sibling. Two of my Characters are Chanti & Ahndia Beppu.
When I first started playing Guild Wars, I didn't care much for the game, so kept deleting characters. That's why my account is 32 months old, and my oldest character is 24.
If nothing else, keep for the minipet and the extra storage. Just buy/use another slot and make another character.
I did and it was my main char my beta Monk in some ways I regreted it but in others I don't as she looks pretty much the same just little better.I put more thought into her this time and didn't like the fact Alesia was bigger.I kind of wonder what it would be like had I not rerolled her as her B-Day would be officially coming up in name sake and i have gotten a lot of good remarks about both my beta and newly rerolled Monk.
It is probably because she look a lot different than most of the ones you see in game but in the end I am happy with her.I didn't mid doing this as she wasn't ascended if she was I wouldn't of done it.I wouldn't want to do it agian though with any of my char.s
I would suggest if this is your only char roll a pvp toon to cover you storage in post.

i have a primary but it isnt that much of one he is going for titles yes but i decided to go for titles on him too late to be able to survivor and he is a rit so no ldoa i did how ever make 2 other ch just so they could get those titles. i think the hole one ch thing is lame.
I remade so many characters and have never regretted it, but the fact that you have obby armor and many titles , I would not do it. BTW What is this chracter's profession?
I started out GW with a N/Mo, R/W, and E/Me. Finished Prophecies with the R/W and deleted him later, deleted the N/Mo right away, and I still have the E/Me. I never play my Elementalist anymore, which I had thought would have been my main, and instead when I deleted my first Ranger, I made a new Ranger that I've had ever since.
No regrets about switching main professions, and no regrets about deleting the older characters. I regret taking a Lightbringer bounty and screwing up my new Ranger from keeping a solid 50k Lightbringer points more than I do deleting my old characters.
On my main char I think i might have chosen a more asian looking face...maybe. I'm not so sure, I had a feeling that if I could change it I wouldn't like it from being so used to my mesmer's old face.
Location: I'm right behind you. And you're DISGUSTING.
Guild: Your Moms Name Here [derp]
Profession: N/
My second character was a warrior, whom I deleted and remade after much debate. All my characters are prefixed with "AOTT" with the exception of my main character, Alice of the Twist, (hence the acronym) and since I had created my warrior without this tag, it just didn't FIT with the others and confused people in my guild.
Fortunately, I did not buy 15k for my warrior. So I salvaged the runes and put my arsenal in my stash (fortunately, uncustomized), and made a new warrior with the AOTT prefix.
OP, from the sounds of things your warrior is your main. Back when it was only Prophecies I too went through many re-rolls, and I don't regret it. But I have a "core" group of characters I could never bring myself to delete now, which is why my character stable has grown.
I did and still do re-roll "non-core" characters. Most recently being my Tryian necro. I don't regret it, even though it's been a hard slog for three days during my (relatively few) free hours to get her back to where she was before I deleted her. I'm nearly there (though I think I did many more side quests this time) she is sitting in the desert waiting to do the missions so she can ascend. I don't regret it. I'm much happier with her, and I don't think a re-roll will be necessary for her again.
As for why re-roll, it's the name. I get attached to them.
Having said that I could honestly say that my "core" group I'm completely happy with. My reason for making more characters is the desire to try something new, go for a new look that wouldn't have suited the old character and since most of mine hav ea fairly comprehensive back story, deleting and giving the name to another character which is completely different would just be wrong.
At little long winded but I hope it helps
EDIT: A thought for what it is worth. If you don't like playing other classes then maybe roll a new character of the opposite gender (in this case female) and keep the old. That way you get a "re-make" of a sort - and I'm going to make the assumption that maybe the name won't fit a female character.
I don't know how you make character names - but if you are into role-pleying types (ie "real" names) this sitie is great: http://www.behindthename.com
Look up things that you want to fit the character under "meaning". My sister for example has a ranger whose name basically means "swift wind", I've a ranger that has a name which means "rowen tree", and my mesmer's name Luned is taken from a legend about a girl who had a magic ring that could make her invisible.
If you prefer "clever" names more like a guildie of mine who has a necro "Adament Nightmare", then I suggest a thesaurus.
If you prefer "pop-culture" names (I'm not real good with those) the only thing I can suggest is wiki.

I originally had two mains, a monk and a warrior. I remade both. I remade my warrior cuz it was female and I didn't like much of the option choices for armor, except for 15k platemail. I loved that for female war, but the mods couldnt be replaced at the time. So i remade it for some male warrior armor I liked. Now I regret it for two reasons. I could have had that armor >_<, and now the minipets come later so I can't sell them when theyre high enough on price.
Im glad I remade my monk though. It sucks not getting the minipet as soon, but I like the look so much better.
Well I have no idea what my "main" is anymore, either Paragon or Dervish... but I really wish I wouldn't have deleted my first character. It was back before I knew that birthdays were worth anything (not that they really are... but people seem to pay alot for certain pets) and remade the same profession (Ele) with the same name, same hair, same face... everything.
If I would not have done that - I would have soon been receiving my third year pet
Needless to say, I'm pretty pooped out that I deleted her - as I would love to have one of these third year minis.
Lvl 20 ele.........droks armour......in my newbish way, what do u think i did? dyed it black, then put major and sup runes. Ever heard of a tank fire ele with 425 health?
I've been regretting the hair colour choice of my first character ever since he was made, but decided remaking the poor guy would take waaay too long. I just use helmets to fix the problem...
Truth be told, I've invested considerably more time and have far more "achievements" (i.e. those blasted title things) on my new "main" than my last, even though my original character was over 2 years old (at time of death ) and my new is just 5 months old.
The only regret I have is the yearly ~150K ANet insists on giving only to those who keep an early character, but I regret ANet's decision there, more than my own. I'll be coming up to my 1st year pets around November. Thankyou ANet, thankyou so much.
